Who we are
California Fulfillment LLC (“CFL”, “we”, “us”) is a third-party logistics company operating warehousing, fulfillment and freight services from facilities in California, Texas, New Jersey, New York, Tennessee, Georgia and Florida. For anything in this notice, contact us at bryan@californiafulfillmentllc.com or (818) 917-4966.
Information we collect
We collect personal information in three ways.
Information you give us
- Contact and quote requests — name, company, email, phone, the message you write, and the freight details you enter (origin and destination ZIP codes, pallet counts, commodity, service interest).
- Proposal and manifest requests — the line items you select, route details and shipper details you provide in the manifest builder.
- Tracking — the PRO, BOL or PO number you enter and, if you opt in, an email address or phone number for delivery alerts.
- Government and teaming enquiries — agency or company, solicitation identifiers and the contact details you provide.
- Job applications and talent-network sign-ups — name, contact details, work history and any résumé you attach. Applicant data is handled under the separate applicant notice provided at the point of application.
- Newsletter sign-up — your email address, confirmed by double opt-in.
Information collected automatically
- Essential technical data — IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps in server logs, used to run and secure the site.
- Analytics — only with your consent (see Cookie policy), aggregated usage data with IP anonymisation enabled.
- Spam protection — forms use an invisible, privacy-preserving challenge and a honeypot field. No CAPTCHA puzzle; no cross-site profile is built.
Information from customers and carriers
In providing logistics services we receive the names, addresses and contact details of shippers, consignees and carrier personnel on bills of lading, delivery instructions and proof-of-delivery documents. We process this information as a service provider to our customer, under our contract with them.
How we use it
- To answer your enquiry, prepare a quote or proposal, book and track shipments, and deliver the services you or your company ask for.
- To send delivery alerts you have opted into.
- To send the monthly rate and capacity note if you have subscribed. You can unsubscribe from any email.
- To evaluate job applications.
- To operate, secure and improve the website, including consent-based analytics.
- To meet legal, regulatory and contractual obligations, including records required for freight carriage and government contracting.
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not use personal information for automated decision-making that has legal or similarly significant effects.
Who we share it with
- Carriers, drayage providers and partner facilities engaged to move or hold your freight, to the extent needed to perform the service.
- Service providers that host the website, deliver email, run our customer-relationship and transportation-management systems and process job applications, each under contract to use the data only on our instructions.
- Government agencies and prime contractors where required to perform or report on a contract, or where the law requires disclosure.
- Professional advisers and successors in the event of an audit, legal claim or a sale or reorganisation of the business.
Cookies and tracking
Essential cookies run the site and remember your consent choice. Analytics cookies are set only after you accept them in the consent bar. Full details, including how to change your choice, are in the Cookie policy. You can reopen the consent bar at any time from the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer.
Global Privacy Control
This site honours the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser sends GPC, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and as a decline of analytics cookies, automatically and without you having to take any further step. Because we do not sell or share personal information, the practical effect is that analytics stays off.
Your California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act gives you the following rights, subject to the exceptions in the law:
- Right to know — what categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, our purposes, and the categories of third parties we have disclosed it to.
- Right to delete — to request deletion of personal information we collected from you, subject to exceptions such as completing a transaction, security, and legal compliance.
- Right to correct — to request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in the CPRA.
- Right to limit use of sensitive personal information. We do not use sensitive personal information for purposes beyond those permitted by the law.
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights.
The categories of personal information we have collected in the preceding twelve months are: identifiers (name, email, phone, IP address); commercial information (quotes, shipments, orders); internet activity (site usage, with consent); professional or employment-related information (from applicants); and geolocation at the level of address and ZIP code (from shipment details). We collect them from you directly, from our customers, and from your device. We disclose them to the categories of recipients listed above for the business purposes listed above.
How to make a request
Email bryan@californiafulfillmentllc.com with the subject line “Privacy request”, or call (818) 917-4966. Tell us which right you are exercising and the email address or phone number you used with us so we can locate your records. We will confirm receipt within ten business days and respond within forty-five days, extendable once by a further forty-five days where reasonably necessary, and we will tell you if we need the extension. We verify requests by matching the details you provide against our records; where that is not enough, we may ask for additional information. You may use an authorised agent, in which case we will ask for the agent’s written authorisation and may still verify your identity directly.
We do not currently offer a separate web form for privacy requests; the email route above is the designated method.
Other US state privacy laws
Residents of other states with comprehensive privacy laws may have similar rights of access, correction, deletion and opt-out. Use the same request route above; we apply the rights that the law of your state provides.
Retention
We keep shipment and carriage records for the period required by transportation law and our customer contracts, and newsletter subscriptions until you unsubscribe. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed for the purposes above.
Security
We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including access controls, encryption in transit, and the basic safeguarding controls required for federal contract information under FAR 52.204-21. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; if we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the appropriate authorities as the law requires.
Children
This site is for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this notice
We will post any changes here with a new “last updated” date. Material changes will be flagged on the site for a reasonable period before they take effect.
